Bought one mostly bc the basement always seems to be where activity starts. Plugged it into the outlet by the pantry door. Plug-in setup is what I wanted, not another thing to remember. Pantry hasn't had the same nightly issues since I plugged this in. The green light is subtle and it just runs in the background.
