Bought it because the kitchen had been stressing me out at night. I tried it first in the hallway, then moved it closer to the kitchen. Green light is barely noticeable on the wall. Plug-in setup is what I wanted, not another thing to remember. It's not magic, but the pantry has been quieter. Pretty happy overall.
